Access platforms

Always developed around constraints: service platforms designed for safe access, clearances and sequencing—engineered to suit real plant layouts, access routes and lifting limits, then delivered as modular, installation-ready kits with defined safety details and durable finishes.

We design, fabricate and install steel service platforms to provide safe, practical access to generators, electrical switchboards and plant areas on data centre and industrial projects. Each platform is developed around the real constraints on site—available footprint, access routes, lifting/handling limits and multi-trade interfaces—so maintenance access, clearances and sequencing work first time.

Platforms are engineered to the required loads and usage, with safety built into the details: guardrails, toe-boards, non-slip surfaces, defined access points and robust connection detailing. Where specified, we incorporate anti-static decking/materials to support safe work around sensitive electrical equipment. Corrosion protection and finishes are selected to suit the environment (internal plant rooms, external exposure, humidity), so platforms remain stable and low-maintenance over time.

Delivery is managed end-to-end: layout and interface detailing (with model-based checks where required), fabrication, protective treatments, logistics and site installation—supported by documented QA/QC and handover information. Modular design allows efficient installation and straightforward future modifications as plant layouts evolve, helping teams maintain programme timelines and deadlines with disciplined site execution.

Typical scope includes:

  • service platforms, walkways and maintenance structures
  • stairs, ladders, handrails and safety edge protection
  • equipment supports and local steelwork tie-ins where required
  • set-outs, clearance checks and interface detailing at CSA/MEP boundaries
  • documented QA/QC, inspection points and as-built handover packs
